Stupid Questions

While on the road conducting precision shaft alignment training I run across a wide range of skill level. It is not uncommon to have a lot of questions. I like it when there are questions, that is usually an indication that the trainees are engaged. It is also not uncommon that a question starts with, let me ask a stupid question or this might be a stupid question. I believe the only stupid question is the one that is not asked.

Which brings me to this, in a recent exceptionally engaged class, the question was “what do the results numbers at the coupling mean and why are they important?” This gave opportunity to review, with the class, a few very good blogs by the VibrAlign alignment experts on the subject. Links to them are provided below for your review.
